Schafberg
With an altitude of 1762m, the Schafberg is one of the higher mountains in the area, and the panoramic view from the summit is unique. The mountain lies between Lakes Wolfgang, Mondsee and Attersee. The Schafbergbahn cogwheel railway takes people like me, who are not so good at mountain hiking, comfortably to the summit. At the top there is the Schafbergspitze mountain hotel and several places to stop for refreshments.
